Join us for an evening of Conscious Sensuality with Alicia Dieminger & Sahra Anisha
This evening, we will have exercises to enhance your senses, self-connection & coming into contact with others. How do you approach others? How can we playfully & consciously experiment with attraction, invitation & rejection? We will also have the chance to come into physical contact with another person. The way you want to be touched, your boundaries and desires can be decided then, and clearly communicated. Eg. Whether you wish to be fully or partially clothed, or naked. This is part of practising consent.
Please bring your openness, curiosity, a lunghi, sarong, big towel and some massage oil with you.
"Conscious Sensuality is the practice of utilizing our senses to become more conscious. It is not focused just on sexuality. But sexuality is a key aspect of Conscious Sensuality because in sexuality we experience some of the most intense sensations and emotions in our lives. By exploring our sexuality consciously we are practicing the art of using pleasure for the purpose of greater understanding, compassion, empathy and love. (…)
The journey into conscious sensuality is one that will help you feel more in your bodies, or “embodied.” It will also help you to experience emotions more deeply as well as your capacity to choose how to respond to our emotions. This is a crucial distinction, because just having strong emotions and strong reactions does not indicate a balanced emotional body any more than someone who is unaware and unexpressive of their emotions." (Robert Silber)
What is Conscious Sensuality?
We are a global community focused on personal growth and planetary transformation through cultivating emotional & embodied health, mindfulness and communication skills, ecstatic sensuality & sexuality, and ecological community living. We draw upon our training and knowledge of: meditation, yoga, dance, tantra, shamanism, taoism, massage, psychotherapy, permaculture as well as other schools and lineages.
The workshops, events and training programs we offer are an opportunity to explore the principals and practices of Conscious Sensuality within a group setting. These events are experiential in nature and are designed to bring greater awareness, healing, empowerment and skills to the participants. The practices, exercises and rituals are held in a loving, meditative manner that encourages pausing, breathing, feeling and sharing in ways that support everyone to move beyond default patterns of thought and behaviour. Whether you come as a single or a couple, the focus is on our primary relationship with ourselves. We employ a variety of meditation and practical consciousness-raising practices that you can use in daily life and your on-going relationships.
We welcome people of all genders, orientations, ages, relationship modes and spiritual paths. We all want love, safety, pleasure and purpose in our lives. Conscious Sensuality is the practice of utilising our senses to become more conscious. It is not focused just on sexuality. But sexuality is a key aspect of Conscious Sensuality because in sexuality we experience some of the most intense sensations and emotions in our lives. By exploring our sensuality and sexuality consciously we are practising the art of using pleasure for the purpose of greater understanding, compassion, empathy and love.
